Real Palacio Hotel
Biggest attraction of Lisbon is city itself, which is an authentic place for every tourist. Great history of this place is related to Vasco Da Gama and his cruise. Different attractions of this city are named on him as devotion and to remember his great victory. Tourists planning holidays in Lisbon must visit some of the popular places such as Vasco Da Gama Bridge, Vasco da Gama Tower and more. These tourist spots are briefly explained down.

Vasco Da Gama Bridge is considered as the longest bridge of Europe. This is 17 Km Long which means around 11 miles and 10km/6miles pass over the water. It was started in 1998 known as the Europe’s longest bridge till the time. Length of this bridge is same as the road-rail tunnel-bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden. This is most gorgeous attraction to visit in Lisbon holidays. Its vastness forced engineers to factor in the curving of the Earth during its building.

This is a superb feat of engineering constructed with diverse sections supported by pillars, built at a cost of one billion US dollars. Vasco Da Gama Bridge was inaugurated on March 31, 1998 after putting 18 months in the building of bridge. Now this bridge is working as a way to carry tourists from Spain, southern Portugal and other parts of Europe to Expo98.

Vasco da Gama Tower is another great construction of the city this is also known as the tallest building in Lisbon. Tourists can take a cable car from Oceanarium, it takes visitors to the revolutionary Vasco da Gama Tower. It is named after the Vasco De Gama great researcher and it was opened in 1998, on the day of 500th anniversary of his journey to India. The architects of the tower were Nick Jacobs, Leonor Janeiro and SOM (Skidmore, Owings and Merrill). Those who are planning holidays to Lisbon can visit this tallest and stunning tower of Portugal. Tower’s shape brings to mind a nautical sail, and standing at 145m/575ft high.

A presentation platform is situated on the top it is enthused by a topsail basket, reached by three fabulous panoramic glass elevators. It provides a huge view over Lisbon, Vasco da Gama Bridge and the river. Most of the online Lisbon holiday packages include this tower as the significant tourist spot of the city. Now days, construction of Dubai-like luxury hotel is under progress and it was started in October 2007. This hotel will be known as "Sana Torre Vasco da Gama Royal Hotel".
